One lane of the A20 London Road, in Aylesford, is closed this evening so emergency works can be carried out on a collapsed manhole.

Kent Highways said it was closing one lane between the Coldharbour roundabout and Hermitage Lane at 6pm this evening.

A spokesman said: “The lane closure will be in place for safety reasons until emergency works are able to be completed.

"The works are expected to be completed by the end of tomorrow.”

Motorists should expect delays throughout the emergency works.
