Motorists are being warned to expect delays until 7.45pm after a two-lorry smash on the M20 brought traffic to a standstill.

The vehicles collided on the London-bound carriageway between junction 4 for Leybourne and 3 for Wrotham at around 2.40pm.

After an initial closure two lanes were reopened going past the crash site shortly before 4pm.

Highways England is reporting delays of up to 30 minutes, with normal road conditions expected by 7.45pm and one lane expected to remain closed until 7pm.

Kent Police confirmed they are currently on the scene of the crash, alongside paramedics.

It is not yet known if anyone is injured.
