A trucker accused of causing the death of a man by dangerous driving has appeared in court.

Jason Ford was killed on April 25 when he was hit by a Volvo HGV with an articulated trailer on the A228 in West Malling.

Lorand Collins, 67, of Woodland Close, West Malling, spoke only to confirm his name and address when he appeared at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court today.

He was granted unconditional bail until December 14, when he will appear before Maidstone Crown Court.
