A lucky kmfm listener has had a fantastic start to the weekend after pocketing £1,000 in cash.

Fresh off the back of its Money Match competition, which saw a listener win £2,377.83 on Monday, the winning continued with Thousand Pound Friday.

The Kent radio station’s monthly competition sees listeners enter via text and online to win the prize.

Entries start at 6pm on Thursday and 24 hours later a winner is chosen at random.

At 6pm today, kmfm’s Getting You Home presenter Rob Wills called Katie Warren, from Snodland, to let her know she was September’s winner.

Katie said winning had “made her week” and she plans to spend the money on her family holiday to Turkey with husband Chesney and 19-month-old daughter, Rae.
