Drivers are facing miles of queues after a crash on a major route.

One lane of the M20 coast-bound between junction 4 for Leybourne and junction 3 was closed due to a crash.

As a result, five miles of queues are backing up traffic to the Swanley interchange and along the M26.

National Highways posted on social media advising motorists to allow extra time for their journeys, which currently has delays of up to an hour.

It is unknown if anyone has been injured in the incident. Traffic officers are currently en route to the scene.

Emergency services have been contacted for comment.
