There were delays on the M20 following a crash involving a car and a lorry.

The accident happened in the London-bound carriageway between J5 at Aylesford to J4 at Leybourne at 10.15am.

Kent Police have been called to the scene.

It comes just at hour after another section of the the motorway was reopened after a serious collision.

The road was shut between J7 and J6 London-bound from 2am until 10am following a crash in which a lorry driver died and a teenager was seriously injured.

Police are also appealing for information about a connected hit and run.

Paramedics treated two women. Their injuries are not believed to be serious.
