Man arrested on suspicion of driving under influence of drugs or drink after crash on A20 London Road, near New Road and B&Q, in Larkfield

A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs following a serious collision this morning.

It comes after emergency services were called to a two-vehicle accident in London Road, close to the junction with New Road, in Larkfield, opposite B&Q at 7am today (July 26).

A man in his 30s was airlifted to King’s College Hospital in London and another man in his 20s was also taken hospital.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to the collision which involved a green Ford Focus and a white Ford Transit Connect.

The 24-year-old man who has been arrested remains in custody.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, but has not yet spoken to police, is urged to call 999, quoting reference 26-0156.

Motorists with dashcam and residents with private CCTV are also asked to check for relevant footage.
