A 22-year-old man, accused of stealing a BMW X3 after being arrested by police on the M26, has appeared in court.

Karolis Kavaliauskas, of no fixed address, was charged with aggravated vehicle taking following his arrest on Thursday, August 9, relating to the theft of the car from an address in Kings Hill.

Mr Kavaliauskas appeared by video link before Medway Magistrates Court and was remanded to Maidstone Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
