A man has been arrested by detectives investigating a report of sexual assault.

The incident was alleged to have happened at a residential address in Leybourne, during the early hours of Sunday, December 11.

It is believed that prior to the alleged assault, the victim may have come into contact with the suspect in the Maidstone area.

A man in his 20s from the West Malling area was arrested on December 23 in connection with a police appeal.

He has since been bailed to return to the police station on March 22.
