A man had to be rescued by firefighters after becoming stuck in the mud by the River Medway.
Two fire engines and a water safety unit were sent to the riverside near the high street in Aylesford just after 11am today.
Crews wearing dry suits used line rescue equipment to lift the man to safety in an operation that took around an hour.
He was then taken by ambulance to Maidstone Hospital for checks.
Following the rescue, fire crews are reminding people to be careful in muddy areas, as it's easy to become stuck.
They advise always carrying a mobile phone with you, to call for help in an emergency, and to be aware of tide times at rivers and when by the coast.
