Massive emergency response after digger tipped over and man injured in Snodland

A large emergency response descended on a road after a digger tipped over and a man was injured.

Police and ambulance services were reportedly scrambled to Ladds Lane, Snodland, today after the heavy goods vehicle ran into difficulty.

Vehicles were temporarily prevented from using the rural route following the alleged incident at about 4.30pm, according to traffic reporting service Inrix.

Witnesses told KentOnline the machinery partially blocked Ladds Lane to Upper Halling at around 6pm today (September 2).

A resident said: “I heard lots of sirens in the distance.

“Then the helicopter circled over Upper Halling before landing.

“My son had just driven back that way and saw the overturned digger – I drive that way often.”

A spokesman for the fire service said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called at 16:07pm to Ladds lane, Holborough, in Snodland, to reports of an overturned digger.

“Three fire engines attended to assist SECAmb with a male casualty.”
