Floral tributes have been left at the spot where a motorcyclist died - the second fatality on roads in Pembury in less than an hour.
The rider - a man in his 30s from West Malling , called Jason - had been involved in a crash with a BMW in Pembury High Street at its junction with Woodsgate Way at 11.40am last Thursday.
One tribute left by his mother says: “To my darling Danny Boy. I love you with all my heart.
"Sleep tight my sweetheart until I hold you again. I love you son.”
It is understood the rider, who had been on a red Honda bike, had just picked up food for his lunch at a nearby garage.
Neighbours said he died in an ambulance at the scene.
Another tribute has been left by a mother called Chris who went to help.
She wrote: “Jason, I did not know you but I was with you at the end.
“I did my best to help you. You will be in my heart forever.
“Words cannot explain how sorry I am you did not make it. My prayers for your family and loved ones will be in my heart and head for a long time. Your time came too soon.”
The junction remained closed off until 6pm.
It is understood the BMW driver lives in Woodsgate Way.
One neighbour who did not want to be named said: “It is a dangerous junction especially if you are turning right. The trees make it difficult to see oncoming traffic.”
Just 40 minutes earlier, another collision, on the A21 between the A26 and Longfield Road, claimed another life.
A white Iveco Daily van travelling south collided with a parked blue Land Rover Discovery just before 11am.
The driver, a man in his 60s, and the female passenger of the Land Rover were taken to King’s College Hospital in London.
The driver later died.
Police have issued an appeal for any witnesses of both fatalities to come forward.
They would also like dash camera footage, or CCTV, that captures the collision or the moments leading up to it.
