Tracey Crouch has been hailed as an inspiration for her determined approach to her cancer battle.
The MP for Chatham and Aylesford has kept her social media followers entertained and inspired with a series of hilarious and heart-warming tweets as she documents her journey. Here are some of her most memorable moments:
1) The time she was mistaken for a notorious serial killer
Infamous murderer Peter Sutcliffe - branded the Yorkshire Ripper - killed 13 women across the north of England and was one of the country's most high-profile prisoners.
But when his death at the age of 74 was announced today, one major news organisation managed to append their website coverage of the serial killer's demise with a picture of our Tracey.
Thankfully the lawmaker was able to see the funny side of the online boo-boo, retweeting a screenshot of the blunder with a deluge of cry-laughing emoji and a facepalm.
Since she announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer back in June, the MP has used her Twitter account - which is followed by more than 35,000 people - to document her treatment and encourage others to check their "bits and bobbins" so they can catch the disease as early as possible.
But the serious messages have been interspersed with the heart-warming and the humorous, which brings us to...
2) The time she had a rather disturbing dream
Cancer is no laughing matter. There are around 367,000 new cancer cases in the UK every year. Every two minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. If caught early, survival becomes much more likely, but every year the disease takes thousands of lives.
Tracey's tweets do a great job of documenting the ups and downs of overcoming the illness, but we were really not ready for this particular mental image.
If anyone knows where we can get hold of a baby penguin, do let us know in the comments...
3) The time she revealed the secrets of mums everywhere
So this is why we could never get away with any mischief when mum was about. Mystery solved.
Family has been a prominent feature of the MPs story in the last few months, with son Freddie pictured giving mum's hair a snip and her sister having her hair shaved off in solidarity with her sibling.
But it's not just been family who have rallied round. Messages of support have poured in from other Twitter users, and then there's...
4) The time a sporting hero said 'go Tracey!'
A former Minister for Sport, the Tory parliamentarian is well known for her sporting passions, which include Tottenham Hotspur football club and American football team the Green Bay Packers.
So no doubt it will have been an amazing moment when she discovered that Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers recorded a message of support.
5) The time she made a wasted purchase
Tracey's tweets have done a great job of raising awareness of cancer and the importance of knowing the signs so the disease can be caught early.
But although the subject matter is deadly serious, the humour has shone through and will surely have inspired many. Good luck Tracey, we're all behind you.
And from all us WFH'ers out there, we feel you...
