A carpenter who is renovating his house while naked has urged neighbours to stop phoning the police after he was arrested yet again.
Last month we reported how Rob Jenner attracted controversy for renovating a house in Stevens Road, Eccles, wearing nothing but his work boots.
After several complaints the 42-year-old erected a sign reading: “A naturist is working on this property, please do not take offence.”
But despite this he was charged with using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress after shocked neighbours reported his antics.
He was also slapped with an antisocial behaviour warning notice by Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council (TMBC).
Since then his DIY project has made national headlines and even garnered the interest of a German film crew who travelled to his one-bed terrace house to record him for the country’s version of the One Show.
But some residents in his quiet suburban street have not been as impressed by the nude refurbishment and have continued to make complaints.
The former soldier, of Bingley Close, Snodland, was arrested again on Friday, September 23, and has now been charged a second time with the same offence and given another court date after refusing to cover up while working on his property.
TMBC has also slapped him with an £80 fine following continued complaints.
He also says he thinks the company advertising his property for let has taken it off its website following the controversy.
Single Mr Jenner became a naturist in 1999 and insists he is not doing anything wrong.
He will appear at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court to enter pleas to the charges next Tuesday and again on Tuesday, 25 October.
