Nando's has come under fire from a diner who claims staff have breached hygiene rules.
Self-confessed superfan Dimitri Tzanakakis hit out over the state of the restaurant's Aylesford branch.
He has been dining at the home of Peri Peri chicken since he grew up in South Africa.
But a recent visit to the food-giant's restaurant in South Aylesford Retail Park ruffled Mr Tzanakakis' feathers.
The Maidstone resident said: "I love my Nando's, I don't want to see it shut down.
"But what I saw were some major breaches of health and safety, the grill worker was not wearing a hat or an apron.
"A lot of the staff were not wearing anything on their head to protect their hair. There's a serious risk of contamination.
"There was a bit of chicken on the floor and empty take away bags on the floor.
"The floor is slippery enough at the best of times. The visit was a complete and utter shambles."
A Nando's spokesperson said: "We always want our customers to have a great time at Nando’s.
"A big part of this is making sure our restaurants are clean, safe and welcoming.
"We’re proud that our south Aylesford restaurant has a five star hygiene rating and we’ve reminded the team of the protocols to make sure that our strict standards are maintained even during busy periods."
