A new “retirement community” has opened for the over-55s.

The site has been named The Landings and is based at Hazen Road, Kings Hill.

Developed by the Anchor property company, it consists of 75 one and two-bedroom apartments supported by a range of communal facilities including a beauty salon, landscaped gardens, seated patio area and bistro on the ground floor.

There are also “pocket” drawing rooms for quiet reflection, while the top-floor lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows over-looking the neighbourhood.

The apartments have underfloor heating and a level-access walk-in shower.

All homes also have a balcony or patio.
