A bell-ringer has been warned he faces a jail sentence after admitting sexually abusing a child.
Darren Elphick was the 'tower captain' at St Peter and Saint Paul's Church at Aylesford and was arrested three years ago.
But now the 49-year-old, of Station Road has admitted four charges of sexual activity with a child between 2007 and 2009.
Dressed in a black shirt, Elphick also admitted possessing indecent photographs and movies of a child and having four extreme pornographic pictures depicting a human having sex with an animal.
Judge Jeremy Donne QC ordered a probation report before sentencing him which will look at the danger he poses to children in the future.
He was bailed until the next hearing at Maidstone Crown Court in November.
Judge Donne warned Elphick - a former pupil at Aylesford School - to prepare himself for a custodial sentence and ordered him to sign the Sex Offenders' Register in the meantime.
Three other sex charges - which Elphick denies - are expected to be dropped during the sentencing hearing.
