A crash thought to involve a lorry and a car caused long delays on the M20 this evening.

The collision happened coastbound near junction 3 for the M26 just after 4pm, and one lane was closed.

Eyewitnesses report firefighters cut someone out of a car, which was on the hard shoulder.

Police and ambulance were also called to the scene.

There are not thought to be any serious injuries.

The traffic cleared by about 6.30pm.
