Police have acted quickly and returned a stolen BMW X5 to its rightful owners within an hour of it being reported missing.
It was at 2.30am on Monday morning, that officers received a report that a BMW X5 had been stolen from an address in Kings Hill.
The information was broadcast to patrols who spotted the car exiting the slip road off the M20 and coming to a stop at traffic lights on the Swanley interchange.
A patrol boxed the car in and officers arrested the occupant. The car, which costs around £59,000 new, was back with its owner by 3.30am.
Karolis Zigas, 26, of Nelson Road Central, Great Yarmouth, was subsequently charged with theft of a motor vehicle and conspiracy to commit theft of a motor vehicle.
Bail was refused and he will appear before Medway Magistrates Court later today.
