A college is hoping dog owners will come to its rescue before it has to start turning away students from a diploma course.
Hadlow College runs the course from a grooming salon in Tonbridge Road, in Tonbridge, but is running short of pooches for students to work on.
Dogs will receive a bath and a trim from students while under the guidance of some of the UK’s top dog groomers.
The salon is co-managed the Pet Industry Federation (PIF).
Ellen Bradford of the PIF said: “It’s a great course in a great facility. Unfortunately, where there is a greater demand of students, there is even greater demand for dogs.”
Only certain breeds are needed – terriers, miniature poodles, schnauzers and spaniels.
But Miss Bradford added: “We don’t want to turn anyone away from the course.”
If you can help offer a dog for students to practise on contact 01732 852605 or email doggrooming@hadlow.ac.uk An article on the salon in the KM gave the wrong number to reach Hadlow College and we apologise for this.
