A pub has closed its doors temporarily while it undergoes a six-figure facelift.
The Wateringbury in Tonbridge Road, Wateringbury, near Maidstone, has been shut since Monday when a major renovation began.
Owner Greene King has decided to invest in the 90-year-old building to give the inside a complete makeover.
The work will also include some changes to the garden area.
Though owned by the national chain, it is branded as a Chef and Brewer pub.
It is due to reopen in August, although a more specific date has not been given.
Asked how much was being spent on the refurb, a spokesman said it was a “six-figure” sum.
