Traffic has returned to normal and the road has been cleared after an accident that has left a road blocked in both directions.

The incident, involving two cars near Cemetery Lane on the A26 Maidstone Road, was reported shortly before 10am this morning but motorists were dealing with the aftermath for for than two hours.

Drivers heading towards Hadlow were moving slowly while the vehicles were being recovered.

Police attended the scene along with the SECAmb where, fortunately, so serious injuries were reported.
