Several villages have been left without water or low pressure on the day the UK experienced record-breaking temperatures.
Residents in the Weald and Malling area have experienced issues with supplies this afternoon with many getting none at all.
Affected locations include: Seven Mile Lane, Wateringbury, Bow Hill, West and East Peckham, Yalding, Paddock Wood and Hadlow.
The issue is believed to have started at 1.30pm today and isn't estimated to be fixed until 10am tomorrow.
South East Water has apologised for the issues and says it is due to its production running at maximum capacity.
In a statement this afternoon, the water company said: "We're so sorry to our customers who have no water or low supply. We are aware of the situation and have notified our Technical Team.
"We supply 520 million litres of water daily, through 9,000 miles of pipes. Throughout the summer months, this goes up to 540 million litres of water.
"Currently, our production sites are running at maximum capacity while we supply more than 600 million litres a day to 2.3 million customers."
The issue has occurred on what has been recorded as the hottest day of the year with temperatures passing 40 degrees in Kent.
A bottled water station has been set up at the Village Hall and Bush Road in East Peckham.
It will be open until 10.30pm tonight and then will reopen again tomorrow at 9am.
A statement on its website said: "Please do not go there until advised it is open. This may result in a delay in getting the bottled water station open."
Another one was also opened up in Borough Green.
The water firm said: "You can collect water from the station until 22.30 tonight, and then again from 09.00 in the morning.
"You will find the bottled water station at 10 Mid Comp Cottages, Comp Lane, Borough Green, Sevenoaks, TN15 8QT."
Meanwhile, people in Challock and Molash, between Ashford and Faversham, continued to experience problems with supplies today after problems started last week.
This afternoon, South East Water tweeted: "We're sorry to our customers in Challock & Molash who are without water.
"We're re-directing water to the area to minimise disruption, but supplies will be sporadic due to a continued surge in demand.
"There's a water tank at Challock Village Hall to refill bottles & grab bags."
It prompted some furious replies from villagers.
Henry Sharp responded: "Not good enough after 4 days without water! There’s a surge in demand everywhere at the moment.
"Why is it that these villages on the North Downs are so affected - long term infrastructure issues and lack of planning perhaps?"
