Actress and singer Sheridan Smith is "overwhelmed with love" after giving birth to a baby boy.
The multi-award winning 38-year-old, who lives in Kent with her fiancé Jamie Horn, made the announcement via Twitter on Saturday.
She wrote: "Our little man has arrived! We are both completely overwhelmed with love."
A photo of the baby's tiny hand was posted alongside the reveal.
Today, Miss Smith thanks her fans for the "lovely messages" she has received since giving birth.
She said: "I’d just like to say thank you so much! We have been so touched by all your lovely messages about the birth of our son. I’ve finally gotten round to reading all of them and am bowled over by everyone’s kindness. It means the world. Huge love to you all from the three of us!"
The new family will be sharing their Kent home with two dogs, a couple of horses, four donkeys, two pot-bellied pigs, and a pair of goats.
Miss Smith rose to fame after roles in smash hits including the Royle Family and Gavin and Stacey.
She has also starred in several West End shows, has won two Olivier awards among others, and has also found success as a singer.
Her most recent role was in an ITV lockdown drama, Isolation Stories, for which Miss Smith plays a heavily pregnant woman facing childbirth alone.
