An empty and decaying shop in a conservation area could be partly brought back into use as a takeaway.
Plans submitted by Sureshkumkar Thiagarajah to Tonbridge and Malling council show proposals to convert the corner of number 11-13 High Street, Snodland, into a Subway.
A window would be installed on the side of the building fronting Holbourgh Road, with the entry from the High Street. There will be a small seating area for just three people.
The site is adjacent to Snodland Library and only a short distance from Domino’s pizza.
Subway is a franchised sandwich chain with more than 16,000 outlets in 73 countries.
The nearest to Snodland is in London Road, Larkfield.
