A teenager has been bailed after reportedly buying a kebab before crashing into the side of a Snodland dental surgery.
The 19-year-old from Aylesford was arrested on suspicion of drink driving following following the smash in Holborough Road at 10.30pm on Saturday.
He has been released pending further inquires until Monday, July 25.
A section of the carriageway and Holborough Dental Surgery, which neighbours The Village Optician, cordoned off by police.
A spokesman for Southern Dental, which owns the practice, said the dentist who works at the building has been moved to High Street’s Snodland Dental Care, which is also owned by the company and had a spare surgery. All appointments will go ahead as scheduled.
He added: “We are waiting for the loss adjuster before work commences and hope to be open within two to three weeks. Luckily there was no structural damage but I hate to think about what happened to the front end of that car.”
The driver had reportedly just bought a takeaway from Snodland Kebab House at the corner of Ostlers Court, which is about 100 yards from the practice.
A member of staff at the restaurant said he heard a bang and some people rushed out to see what had happened.
He added that no one witnessed the accident.
