Police have released a suspect after a man was spotted with a weapon near a park.
Armed police descended on East Malling on Tuesday night and stopped locals entering the recreation ground off New Road.
A 20-year-old man was arrested and an air weapon was seized.
Kent Police have since confirmed the suspect, who is from the area, has been released pending further investigation.
