A trio of suspected robbers have appeared in court after being accused of targeting two Vodafone stores.
Kent Police was called to reports of an attempted burglary at the phone retailer in Sevenoaks shortly after 5pm on March 14.
It is believed two men entered the shop and made attempts to enter the staff-only area at the back but failed to gain access. The suspects had left before officers got there.
It was then reported three men had entered Vodafone in Tonbridge High Street and stolen 60 phones and two tablet devices at 9.10am the following day.
Two of the men are said to have matched the descriptions of the suspects following the incident the day before.
Officers arrested four people shortly afterwards.
Sam Jarra, 24, of Scarsbrook Road in Blackheath, London, and Tyrone Curland, 20, of no fixed address, were each charged with robbery.
Curland was also charged with attempted burglary.
Jarra pleaded guilty at Thanet Magistrates’ Court on March 17 and has been remanded in custody.
Both men are due to attend a further hearing at Maidstone Crown Court on April 14.
Meanwhile, a teenager has also been charged with robbery and attempted burglary.
The 14-year-old is due to appear before Medway Youth Court on April 10.
A fourth man has since been released without charge.
