15-year-old boy arrested after Aylesford phone theft

A teenager has been arrested after mobile phones were grabbed from a shop display.

Police were called to a store in Quarry Wood, Aylesford at around 9.30am on Thursday after a shopper and staff detained a 15-year-old boy who had been acting suspiciously.

Two men who were believed to be with the teenager ran from the shop in the direction of Hall Road before officers arrived.

They are described as being of Asian appearance and in their late teens to early 20s.

One was wearing a red hooded top with white writing, a red cap with a white star on the front and light coloured trousers.

The other had a beard and was wearing a green hooded top and a baseball cap.

The teenager was arrested on suspicion of theft and a public order offence.

He was later bailed to return to a police station on Thursday, November 1
