A council wants to help women and girls feel safer on its streets.
And to do so, Tonbridge and Malling council first wants to find out where it is that they may feel unsafe.
The borough has opened a public consultation inviting female residents to tell them where it is they have experienced abuse or harassment, or fear that they might do so.
From the feedback, the council will be looking to make specific improvements to these locations to improve safety.
The council said: “Violence against women and girls includes harassment, stalking, rape, sexual assault, murder, honour-based abuse and coercive control.
“While men and boys also suffer from many of these forms of abuse, they disproportionately affect women.”
The online survey runs until Sunday, January 7, and can be accessed here.
The council’s cabinet member for community services, Cllr Des Keers, said: “The harm caused to victims and society by violence against women and girls in all its forms is immeasurable.
“This initiative will help us understand where the issues lie and help us tackle them so women and girls can feel safe in our community.’
