A town which has been “crying out” for a new gym is finally going to get one in the New Year.
Impact Gym is coming to Orchard Business Centre in Transfesa Road, Paddock Wood, in January 2025.
Those behind the initiative, Jacob Wilkins and Daniel Baines say they hope to fill a “gap in the market” in the growing town.
Following over £100k in investment, the pair are currently in the process of designing the layout, with plans to split the facility into four sections.
It will include a weight, cardio, combat sports and HYROX section with an aim to “cater for all demographics”.
Jacob, a financial consultant from Tunbridge Wells, said: “We’re trying to drive a massive sense of community and accessibility in this gym.
“Paddock Wood has been lacking gym facilities, so people have been crying out for them for a while.”
The announcement of the new gym in Paddock Wood has since been met by a flood of positivity from locals on Facebook.
Co-founder Daniel, a full-time chartered accountant from Maidstone, said: “We’ve tried to build it to include everyone and that’s why we’ve split the gym.
“We’ve tried to build it outside of our needs and wants and try and consider the community.”
The new facility is a short-walk from Paddock Wood station with plans for it to be open between 6am-9pm Monday to Friday.
On Saturday it will be open 8am-6pm, while on Sunday it will be from 8am-4pm.
New members can join from £39.99 a month.
