Power has been restored following a cable fault that affected thousands of homes.
Christmas food was at risk of defrosting as the power went down in West Malling, and the surrounding areas between 9.45am-11.15am today.
UK Power Networks initially indicated the number of customers affected was over 5000, and worked to repair an overhead cable, believed to be the cause.
Some Kings Hill, East Peckham and West Malling residents reported their power was resolved around 10.10am, whilst others weren't as lucky.
Other residents of the gated community, and nearby Mereworth, stated they still had no electricity as of 10.45am - it was finally reported as restored at around 11.15am.
Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council also took to social media to inform its customers that the switchboard was down as a result - the organisation was temporarily unable to take calls.
Businesses in Kings Hill, including Little Waitrose, were also affected by the issue.
A spokesman for Waitrose said: "Our Little Waitrose has been affected, we are loading chilled stock onto a refrigerated trailer to minimise wastage and have been advised that power will resume early this afternoon. We will then be able to resume trade as normal."
A spokesman for UK Power Networks said: "At 9.45am today power was interrupted to several thousand customers in the West Malling area after a fault on the electricity distribution network.
"UK Power Networks engineers began restoring supplies within minutes and most supplies were restored in stages by 11.20am. Engineers are working to reconnect the remaining electricity supplies as quickly and as safely as possible.
"We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused and are working to reconnect all supplies. The cause is being investigated."
