The tragic death of a pregnant 24-year-old has sparked an outpouring of grief and an event in her memory.
Rebecca Theodore, who grew up in Kings Hill, passed away in her sleep from an aneurysm.
She had the condition since birth and her mother explained to her heartbroken friends she could have died at any time.
Rebecca was expecting a baby boy in February. She passed away on Saturday, September 15 and had moved to North Yorkshire last year.
Posting online, her mother, Andrea Sadler, said: “We were all looking forward to this little special addition to join our family. He now rests in heaven with his really proud mum who was so looking forward to being a mum.”
She added the family feel lucky to have had Rebecca in their lives for 24 years.
Her Kent friends combined to hold an event in her honour. More than 80 people went to The Farm House pub in High Street, West Malling on Friday, September 21 to celebrate her life and share their memories of her.
The young woman suffered from a berry aneurysm, a swelling usually found at the base of the brain where the major blood vessels meet.
Since her death, Ms Sadler has set up a fundraising page online to support Stroke Association in her daughter’s memory and posted an open invitation to the funeral on Facebook.
It will be held at Skipton Crematorium in Carleton Road, Skipton, North Yorkshire on Monday, October 1 and guests have been asked to make it a “Becca style send off” with bright clothing.
