Police and other officials are believed to be on site after travellers got on to a community centre's fields in Aylesford.

Caravans have been spotted on the fields at the Community Centre on Forstal Road.

Tracey Crouch, Conservative candidate for Chatham and Aylesford and former MP for the area, wrote on Facebook about the "incursion".

She said: "The travellers have made their way on to Aylesford Rec. In fact I was at a meeting at the football club shortly after the first arrived and as others were arriving.

"The Council and Police are on site and are preparing to start the process of eviction.

Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council has been approached for comment.
