A number of families arrived on green space in the middle of a housing development this evening.

About six caravans and other vehicles parked on a grassy area in the Kings Hill estate just after 7pm.

They thought to be the same group of travellers who arrived in West Malling three days ago.

Police were called but left after a short discussion with the families.

Staff from Kings Hill Management Company also had a brief talk with the group.

The caravans have now left the development.
