Two crashes on the same stretch of an A-road resulted in it being shut for several hours.
Separate accidents, one after the other, saw the A228 Seven Mile Lane closed between the A26 roundabout and East Peckham.
The route was blocked for at least four hours after the accidents yesterday evening.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to the scene of a one-car collision on the A228 Seven Mile Lane near East Peckham at 6.45pm on Sunday.
"Whilst officers were attending the scene, a second collision occurred nearby."
The road was blocked until at least 10.20pm while officers worked to clear the vehicles involved.
Ambulance spokesman Rich Airey confirmed one ambulance crew attended the scene after a car crashed when it left the road at around 6.40pm.
Nobody was taken to hospital as a result of the incident.
Around two hours later, two cars were involved in a collision near Roydon Hall Road, East Peckham.
Two ambulance crews attended and transported the patients to Tunbridge Wells hospital after they complained of back pain.
