Motorists faced severe delays of more than an hour and a half after an accident involving two lorries.

Two lanes were closed on the M20 London bound between junction 4 for Leybourne and junction 3 for the M26.

At its height, congestion stretched all the way back to junction 7.

Kent Police was called at 7.24am following the collision.

No injuries have been reported.

The carriageway was blocked briefly to allow the vehicles to be recovered.

All lanes have been reopened and traffic has returned to normal.
