A woman and a baby have been taken to hospital after a fire broke out at a house in Aylesford.

Ambulance crews treated the pair following the blaze which started in the back bedroom of a Hermitage Lane property just after 9am.

The cause is not yet known but it is being treated as accidental.

Two crews were called at 9.20am and spent 40 minutes tackling the fire.
