A man has been arrested for drug and driving offences after his van was stopped by police in Ditton.

Yesterday at around 9am the driver was pulled over as he was leaving a petrol station on London Road.

During a search police found cannabis in his rucksack and the vehicle was seized for having no insurance.

Aaron Pennells, 23, of no fixed address has been charged with possession of class B drugs and driving without a licence or insurance.

He has been bailed to appear at Maidstone Magistrates’ Court on Friday, February 5.
