Villagers in Aylesford and Snodland are among those being warned of potential floods this afternoon.
The Environment Agency has issued an alert for the high tide just after 1pm, warning minor flooding of low lying coastal land and roads is possible.
However, the flooding is not expected to spread to properties at this time.
A spokesperson said: "A positive tidal surge associated with low pressure is also raising water levels around the coast and in tidal areas."
