A Malling mum given just months to live has married her long-term partner at a glitzy ceremony in Larkfield.
Asher Seager, 34, and her husband Trevor, 35, tied the knot in front of friends and family on Good Friday after a frantic community effort saw the big day organised in little over two months.
She was initially diagnosed with cancer last year, and thought she had overcome the disease when surgeons removed her breast.
But after experiencing pain in her shoulder over Christmas, she was suddenly told the tumour had in fact spread further to her liver, spine, bones and both lungs - and that it was terminal.
In response, a fundraising page was set up by her sister-in-law, Tracy Shaw, and more than £3,300 was raised for the big day, while the couple were inundated with offers of help from DJs, make-up artists, photographers and even people offering to donate their own wedding dresses.
The Kent Messenger also helped organise a personalised video message from popular television character Keith Lemon, who said: "I hope you have a wonderful wedding day, sorry I can't be there today...have a lovely time."
In front of around 100 guests at Larkfield Priory Hotel on London Road, where Mrs Seager used to work before illness struck, the couple said their vows, before having their first dance to Ed Sheeran's Perfect.
Mr Seager, who works as a painter and decorator but has spent most of the last few months looking after his new bride at their home in East Malling, where they live with four-year-old daughter, Kyler-Louise, said: "It's magical.
"The support and effort from everyone else, it's beautiful. Asher has been smiling all day.
"We've had our ups and downs because Asher couldn't keep her head up and they put a brace around her neck to try and help, and for the wedding day she's managed to keep it up.
"We've had good days and bad days, she's tried her best and look at the outcome.
"Everyone can see what they've donated, how they've helped and how lovely it is.
"We wanted to recognise the generosity of everyone in the community and far away - people we don't even know - so we had a banner made. It's overwhelming and she loves it.
"I look at her and she's smiling. I get to wear a ring and so does she - because of the public."
