A woman has died while a man remains in a critical condition following a crash.
Police officers, the South East Coast Ambulance Service, and Kent Fire and Rescue Service all rushed to the collision A228 Maidstone Road shortly after 11pm on Sunday, October 7.
A man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
A green Toyota Avensis had collided with a green Fiat 500 at Colts Hill near the junction with Badsell Road.
The two occupants of the Fiat, a man and a woman in their 80s from Sussex, were airlifted to a London hospital by air ambulance for medical attention.
The woman passes away yesterday. The man remains in a critical condition.
Earlier today, a 26-year-old man from Tunbridge Wells was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the incident and are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the cars before or at the time of the collision, or who have dashcam footage to get in contact.
