West Malling family launch new business to help people working from home

A family of entrepreneurs, who have been forced to adapt because of the Covid-19 pandemic, have launched a new business to make life easier for people working from home.

The West Malling-based WFH Zone offers a bespoke service to help organisations of all sizes find solutions to improve the wellbeing and productivity of their employees working away from the office, using products from high quality suppliers to meet a range of budgets.

Owner Marc Page said: “This has been an idea in the back of my head for several years - the number of people working from home has increased significantly over the past two decades. But little did I know that home-working would become the new normal for thousands of companies and millions of people so soon!

“We know how challenging it can be to spend eight hours in front of a laptop at the dining room table and I’m hoping our new site, which brings together dozens of quality suppliers, will be able to improve that experience by offering the best technology, furniture and supplies."

Mr Page, who lives in West Malling, has launched the business with his two sons, Harry (26) and Lewis (23).

The three had been running a successful wedding venue and event management business which had been impacted by Covid. Majestic Events, based at Nettlestead Place, which usually serviced 40 weddings over a summer, saw that figure drop to just one last year because of the pandemic.

Mr Page said: “The virus has had a terrible impact on millions of families around the world and we can’t wait for things to be able to return to normal – but it’s clear that a lot of people don’t want to go back to working in the office five days a week.
