A beautiful day to celebrate the beautiful game! The Medway Messenger Mini World Cup attracted 46 teams from primary school across Medway and today we look back on the memorable tournament with a special souvenir pull-out, packed with pictures, free inside your Medway Messenger.

A week ago, Garrison Fields in Gillingham was alive with hundreds of young footballers competing for our very own version of the world cup. In the end, after hundreds of keenly-fought games, St Margaret's of Rainham triumphed, appearing as Holland (an omen for the real thing perhaps?).
