A 17-year old has appeared in court charged with murder after a man was found dead at the stables where he worked.
Trevor Hadlow was found at Capstone Stud Farm in Capstone Road, Gillingham last Tuesday morning, after police were called to the address.
The 17-year-old, who cannot be named, was charged with murder yesterday and appeared before Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
He has been remanded in youth custody and will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on Wednesday.
The teenager from Sheerness has also been charged with attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and dangerous driving.
These charges relate to an incident that happened in High Street, Eastchurch, shortly after 2.45pm on Friday 8 July 2016, in which a traffic warden was run down and injured.
Yesterday Mr Hadlow's family released a statement paying tribute to him.
It said: "Trevor was quite a character, who enjoyed the outdoor life.
"He was always willing to help out friends and neighbours. He will be missed by many."
