GILLINGHAM is continuing to be plagued by power cuts after 400 homes lost their supply on Saturday morning - the latest in a number of outages in the towns in recent days.
Supplies in the Balmoral Road area went down at 8:51am and were restored at 10:29am - the second power cut this week.
A bigger outage on Wednesday night affected 4,000 homes for around the same period of time following a fault with an underground cable.
Work is still ongoing to repair a hard-to-find fault on a low-voltage underground network which affected 150 homes intermittently.
More than 300 homes in Frindsbury were also affected on Tuesday and Wednesday after thieves stole electrical equipment.
But problems continued into Thursday night in Duncan Road, Canterbury Street and Copenhagen Road, Gillingham, after a separate theft from a substation.
A UK Power Networks spokesman said: “Again, we would like to sincerely apologise to the affected customers.
“We appreciate how awkward power failures can be, especially in the winter with colder temperatures and darker evenings.”
