A secondary school has been struck with 11 cases of Covid-19.
The Hundred of Hoo Academy has asked Year 8 and Year 10 pupils to self-isolate after the virus swept through the groups.
It has also recorded isolated cases in year 7, 9 and 11.
Single bubbles and those who have been in contact with the affected individuals have also been asked to isolate.
Richard Taylor, spokesman for Leigh Academies Trust which represent the school, said: "This has been a challenging time as we have had to respond to a number of cases being reported within days of each other.
"Working closely with the Department of Education and Public Health England, we have undertaken risk-assessments and taken steps to ask students and staff in the affected areas to self-isolate for 14 days.
"Having discussed the cases with the relevant protection teams, we are satisfied the steps we have taken has halted the progression of the virus and the remaining students can attend school as normal.
"We will, however, continue to monitor the situation and take action should further cases be reported or should we experience staffing shortages that require us to close parts of the academy safety grounds.
"Throughout this week, we have provided parents with continued updates and we would like to thank them for their messages of support during this very challenging time.
"We acknowledge in the last few weeks there have been several rumours and misinformation posted on social media but these are often not a reflection of the true reality of the situation.
"This is why we would encourage parents to obtain information about the school from its official communications and not social media as this is not monitored by school staff."
Pupils in isolation will undertake remote learning and are due to return on December 2.
