An accident has closed off a lane in the Medway tunnel.

One lane is blocked on A289 Medway Tunnel westbound, going from Chatham to Strood.

Traffic is building up between the Barrack Road junction and Anthonys Way junction to the Medway city estate because of a road traffic collision.

It is not clear if anybody has been injured.

Luton Road in Chatham is also blocked between the Castle Road junction and the Ambrose Hill junction, because of an accident.
