Traffic was queuing after an accident on the M2.

Two lanes were closed heading coast-bound from junction 3 for Chatham and Rochester and junction 4 for Hoath Way.

National Highways reported the incident involved a vehicle which has left the carriageway.

Normal traffic conditions were expected by 2pm but as of 1.30pm all lanes had been reopened.

The accident came amid traffic chaos across the county. At the Port of Dover a major incident has been declared due to problems at the port and there are long delays on the M20 after a serious collision.
