Adam Dingsdale is full of confidence ahead of his professional debut.
The Hoo boxer meets the vastly- experienced Kristian Laight at the Doncaster Dome on Friday.
The four-round lightweight contest will mark a new beginning for the former England amateur and he is fully prepared.
"I feel fit and the hard work is done," said Dingsdale, who is a member of the Unique Boxing Club.
"I’ve sharpened up in the last few days and my weight is more-or-less bang-on.
"I’m a little nervous because it’s my professional debut but I’m feeling confident. There are a lot of people coming to see me and want to put on a show for them."
Dingsdale is a painter by trade and was working up until Wednesday, before making the trip north ahead of the morning weigh-in on Friday.
Around 100 fans will make the journey up to Doncaster for the fight. It’s a place Dingsdale knows well after sparring there last week with fellow newcomer Andy Townend.
